Costumes

Across your face, the color flashes, a sun in my sky,

between your legs a tail flashes dirty black spots.

Under your arms, tiny wings extend up high,

through the tips of the fingers, a crazy love starts.

Walking further, you grew dimmer, led astray,

a comet that slipped across the darkness of the night.

But had you turned your head and looked my way,

Hidden in costume, I had been your guiding light.

It is easy to see who I am, just remove my bloody hood,

you can’t get lost beneath the weight of my blue eyes.

There’s everything I can do to change your mood,

it is too bad your fiery costume is only just a disguise.
